A split tape by touring partners A Story of Rats (USA) and Bird People (AT). A Story of Rats is the audio work of Seattle’s Garek Druss. His work investigates the poignant effects that audio can produce on preconceived time structures and the idea that listening is both an act of performance as well as participation.
"Composition II" was previously released in a slightly different edit on the "Relinquishment" tape on Flingco Sound System in 2011.
Bird People is the solo and collaborative project of Uli Rois, who also runs Feathered Coyote Records. His side for this split tape is called “The Cailleach and the Ewe”. Recorded in February 2013, around the time of Imbolc, this side-long piece is an aural celebration of the renewal of life and the transition from winter to spring.
